The first thing I do is read the photographers write-ups / bios. Then I look for the story or spread that they shot and go through it. I also love looking at the ads and they way they were shot and processed. One of my new favorites is Surfing Magazine. In one of the latest issues, I saw this photo that was just incredible!! So I ran to the computer and searched for the photographer, and found tons of great pictures and things he had done. Anyway, if you need a little inspiration or a good way to pass time free time and learn something new (free time, what’s that??)….magazines!

The photographer that I found in Surfing Magazine is Daniel Russo. He does some incredible work! Here are just a few of his awesome images in a recent blog post. I’m not sure how he gets some of these shots he must have a really rad set-up! If you didn’t click that link, go back and click it! Aren’t you glad you did. What in the world kind of set-up is that? So then I searched for red cameras and learned something new.

When I feel like I need a little inspiration, I take my camera, head outside and just shoot random stuff.

I was checking on our pumpkin vines one morning and I noticed that each leaf had a ring of dewdrops around it. It was just beautiful, I have never seen anything like it before!

It was a crazy time! I planned for weeks and weeks for this thing. She got to invite some of her closest school friends and her cousins. We had 9 girls here :) I think they all had fun, I hope so anyway! She got lots of fun gifts from everyone. Her big gift was from Great-Grandma and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa Burge, Aunt Pam and kids, Uncle Dan and Aunt Corey, Aunt Jami, and us, Whew… it was an American girl doll and some accessories. She is so proud of it! Thank you to everyone who came and who gave her gifts, she really loves everything!
